Ukraine will fight for the right to host “Expo-2030”: today our delegation in Paris submitted therelevant statement to the Bureau International des Exhibitions. In case of victory, the World Exhibition will be held in Odessa from May 1 till October 31, 2030. Its theme will be “Renaissance. Technologies. Future”.
The letter signed by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal was handed over by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in France Vadim Omelchenko, Adviser to the Deputy Head of the Office of the President Boris Baum, Director of the Department of Investment and Foreign Economic Activity, International Cooperation and Tourism of Odessa Regional State Administration Roman Gryhoryshyn,co-founder and managing partner of companies”D-GROUP”, which initiated the country’s participation in the selection Vadim Dashut.
The Bureau International des Exhibitions will consider the applications from the candidates by the end of 2023. Ukraine will compete with South Korea, Russia and Italy for the right to hold”Expo-2030″.
“We have a good chance to win. And this is an important historical event, because our country for the first time applied for the World’s Exhibition. Such an event in Ukraine will be the engine of economic growth. “Expo-2030″ will improve the country’s image among the world community, will give the development of innovations and will attract a lot of investments”, – said Ambassador of Ukraine in France Vadim Omelchenko.
World Exhibitions or “Expo” are the most prestigious exhibition events in the world, where participating countries demonstrate the uniqueness of their cultures and national identity, their economic and scientific and technological potential.
